[醫書直說] Med 3 心得 Recommendations
Med 3 係我第一次接觸臨床醫學嘅一年，我亦都覺得呢一年係一個好deep嘅learning curve，學咗好多基本嘅問病歷同為病人檢查嘅技巧（其實正常嚟講你哋應該都學過同考過試添，但係我唔正常吖嘛哈哈）。喺呢一年你都會遇到或者聽講過有好多好多textbook令你唔知點揀......
As the first taste of clinical medicine, med 3 is the year where you consolidate your knowledge and skills in history taking and physical exam which (normally, but not for my case) you have learned in the previous preclinical years. It is also the time when you will be introduced to so many clinical textbooks so that you may even feel overwhelmed...
I think med 3 should be the year when you build up a really good foundation for you later years. You should really do something so that the tomorrow you will thank you for. Start good habits in clinical practice and begin organizing your knowledge early on. And of course I wish I did so early in my med 3.
對內科全科自學士嚟講，教科書，上堂嘅 lecture notes，同埋我哋師兄們寫嘅notes 都好重要。有時候 lecture因為時間問題未能做到十分詳盡，所以我覺得你可以當佢係一個好好嘅簡介同埋outline，令你知道有咩你係要識，通常佢 lecture 提及過嘅東西出現喺 written exam 嘅機會都好大（clinical 就冇得咁講啦），但係要深入了解某個topic，除咗上多啲ward問下醫生之外，自己睇
書都好有用。
I think books are as important as lecture notes and other notes from our seniors. Sometimes lectures only serve as an appetiser and outline the area of study, To understand the topic in depth you really need to refer to textbooks for more thorough understanding, although lecture notes are the key points that usually come up in the written exams.
Med 3最主要嘅主幹係內科，普通外科（即係未使讀啲太專嘅外科，例如心胸肺，神經，耳鼻喉等等，但係泌尿科係會考嘅......），同埋骨科。以教科書嚟講除咗呢三科之外，仲有啲基本臨床技巧書，例如著名嘅Talley，Browse等等，我覺得佢哋嘅好處唔係只限於一科，而係內外通殺。
The three main bulks of junior clinical clerkship are internal medicine, general surgery (i.e. excluding too specialised surgeries such as cardiothoracic, neurosurg, ENT etc, but urology seemed to be common in med 3 exams nevertheless) and orthopaedics. For books, apart from the textbooks specialised for each of them, there are also books which focus on general clinical skills and I found them useful across all specialties, such as Talley or Browse.

當我喺med 5努力溫final mb嘅時候，我都有少少後悔點解唔喺med 3開始就好好組織下學到嘅知識，要到我med 5 先知道其實臨考試已經無可能乜都由頭讀到尾，不過已經太遲啦！所以你如果你係仲未開學嘅 med 3，或者係啱啱開學嘅 med 5，都真係要認真諗吓點樣可持續地學習。
