識睇書嘅一定係睇呢本。真係冇誇張，呢本係我用過嘅內科教科書中最好嘅一本。你見過我上ward都會見過我帶著呢本書。我同佢最初嘅相遇係喺臺大醫院做海外交換生時，我見到好多佢哋嘅學生都呢本書，我心諗係咪咁堅抽呀。
It is the best textbook in internal medicine I have ever read, and I carried it with me all the time in the wards. I first encounter this textbook when I was doing my elective in emergency medicine in National University of Taiwan Hospital.
其實臺大醫學院似乎都係用一個比較美國式嘅教育制度，所以佢嘅學生都係用啲美式嘅教科書，例如Washington Manual同埋呢本等等。我返嚟香港後無耐就開學啦，記起呢本書嘅存在，所以就去咗library借嚟睇。用落我就發現呢本書嘅厲害之處 － 真係乜都有。
It seemed to me, as they adopt a more American medical system, their students also use American textbooks a lot, including The Washington Manual of Medical Therapeutics and this one. Soon after I started school when I returned to Hong Kong, I borrowed this book from the library. Within this pocket sized text there is almost everything you need as a medical student.
好處 Pros：
- 當時我仲係上緊refresher course，睇緊啲lecture notes嘅時候我又揭下書，慢慢就發覺上堂教嘅東西呢本書都有提及，而呢本書真係用一個極之精簡嘅形式表達比你睇。
- the material is very concise and match well with our core needs in the medical curriculum.
- 內容深入，包括有唔同專科，例如cardi, resp, GI, renal, haemat/onco, infectious diseases,endocrine, rheumat 同 neuro
- included quite substantial details in cardi, resp, GI, renal, haemat/onco, infectious diseases,endocrine, rheumat and neuro
- 內文含有差唔多每個subspecialty嘅最更新資料，仲有提供埋邊份醫學期刊比你參考添！
- It has the most up to date knowledge in various subspecialties in internal medicine as it was just updated very recently, with the source of the information immediately available next to it.
- 連基本嘅外科，婦科同眼科都有
- also includes some basic surgery, O&G and ophthalmology
- 極細，比黃小巴仲細本，非常方便攜帶
- extremely packed and even smaller than the mini oxford handbook, easy to bring around in the white coat pockets
- 我一揸上手就被佢嘅活頁式設計吸引，容易加頁。可惜香港版無咗呢個設計。
- I was immediately attracted to the convenient size of this book, and the special ring bound form for addition of new notes. It is a pity that the version in Hong Kong has lost this special design.
- 神經內科內容比較簡單，好多病都冇提及，例如多發性硬化症
- the neurology section is too simple and many diseases are not mentioned, such as multiple sclerosis
- 需要有一定嘅知識先會睇得明，因為佢都的確係好精簡，亦所以佢唔會解釋太多病理，要自己再睇番
- requires a certain level of knowledge before you can understand well as it is very concise and does not explains too much on the basic pathophysiology and underlying mechanisms
- 美國書少不免係用美國單位，要轉換有時都幾麻煩
- It is an American text so the units are inevitably in American style, sometimes it is not too pleasant to do the conversion yourself
- 我考內科筆試就係溫呢本一厘米厚嘅書架喇！除咗貴少少之外真係無懈可擊，但係我覺得係物有所值嘅！
- It was the text I read for the written exam in internal medicine! Apart from being slightly pricey it is the best textbook I have read and I think it is worth the money!
