呢本med3 surgery 必備神書，唔知點解去到med5就無咩人睇，上ward 聽過有人話：「唔通重睇recall呀？」其實我就仍然覺得呢本書好有用
This is a very popular textbook amongst med3 students when they first started their junior surgical clerkship, but for some reason it has become largely obsolete in med5 and some people even look you down if you mention this book in the ward.
佢以問答形式涵括咗大部份外科嘅topic，由基本嘅比水，nutrition，device，到 general surgery，甚至有其他subspecialties 例如urology，ortho，plastic等你唔會特登買書嘅topics
I found it very useful myself, no matter for med3 or med5. It covers not only the basics of surgery, e.g. fluid, nutrition, surgical instruments, as well as the general surgical topics, it also has sections on surgical subspecialties which are important in med5, such as orthopaedics, plastic, neurosurgery, cardiovascular and urology.
好處 Pros：
- 準備抽書一流！我試過跟breast surgery淨係靠佢完全頂得住（可能係佢冇抽得太盡）！
- ideal for preparation for questions from doctors in the bedside
- 問答形式有助快速溫習之用
- Q&A format is very nice for quick revision
- 啲圖都幾有用，有助加深了解同幫助記憶（我比較係圖像記憶好啲）
- illustrations are helpful for understanding and deeper memory
- 有啲mnemonics都幾有用，例如GA LAW同C HOBBS
- useful mnemonics provided from time to time to aid memory, such as GA LAW and C HOBBS
- 連subspecialty （又名雜sur）都有
- covers subspecialties
- 有啲人未必鍾意問答方式，要試過先知
- Q&A may not be the best revision method for all
- 問答方式令佢內容嘅連繫同邏輯性比較弱，佢唔會好似傳統教科書咁由history，PE，Investigations咁去
- Q&A also makes the link between one part and the following weaker, so that it may not follow the traditional approach of history, physical exam, investigations
- 有時太簡單 （其實佢仲有本Advanced surgical recall, 我淨係喺library揭過下）
- too simple, sometimes naive (maybe refer to Advanced Surgical Recall)
- 用作外科入門書同埋溫習都唔錯，但係單獨作為textbook就略嫌不足
- good as an introduction to surgery and for quick revisions, but too fragmented and simple as a textbook
