Psychiatry 書我個陣啲同學主要用兩本，一本就係"Oxford"，另一半就係Crash Course Psychiatry。我當時就係買咗呢本oxford啦，但係其實我到而家都唔知我有冇買錯書，因為oxford仲有另一本"New Oxford Textbook of Psychiatry"同"Shorter Oxford Textbook of Psychiatry"，我而家覺得後者可能先係我哋所講果本"oxford"，大家如果要買嘅時候記住唔好買錯啦。
There were two major textbooks which we used during our psychiatry rotation, one is known as "oxford", and the other is Crash Course Psychiatry. I bought this "oxford" but I never know whether I got the right book because there is another "New Oxford Textbook of Psychiatry" and "Shorter Oxford Textbook of Psychiatry", I now believe that the latter should be the recommended "oxford" so if you wish to buy this please have a look yourself and make sure it suits you.
算啦唔買都買咗啦，咁好唔好住呀？其實都ok嘅，我覺得佢幾有用嘅部分例如assessment同drugs，當然佢都有講啲specific disorders例如mood，psychosis，anxiety，sleep，eating等。
Anyway this is quite a nice textbook, I found particularly useful the sections on psychiatric assessment and drug therapy, and of course there are sections on specific psychiatric disorders such as mood, psychosis, anxiety, sleep and eating etc.
好處 Pros：
- 因為psychiatry當時對我哋嚟講係一科全新嘅學科，啲病同埋啲字都係未見過，而呢本書做得好嘅就係佢有用好多篇幅去解釋啲字眼點解，而我哋啲professor就好鍾意問，例如果一大堆delusions同埋schizophrenia嘅thought disorders。
- As a beginner in psychiatry, it was quite scary to see all those new vocabulary and new diseases which we have never seen before. This book explains these quite well and in good details, so that you can answer when your professor asks you about the various types of delusions and the different thought disorders in schizophrenia.
- 唔夠精簡，用來溫考試就太慢
- Not concise enough for exam preparation
- 唔係太中重點，所以我後來都放棄咗而想轉買Crash Course
- A bit tangential (haha) so that I was considering buying Crash Course in the middle of the rotation
- 都唔太平，成三百幾（好似貴過Crash Course）
- not cheap actually, costs over $300 and i think is more expensive than Crash Course
- 其實本書唔係太差，只係有少少貴。
- in fact this is not a bad textbook except being a little too pricey.
- Crash Course可能比較啱醫學生考試用，或者另一本oxford可能先係我哋要睇果本
- If you ask me which text to buy I would probably suggest Crash Course, or the other "oxford" which may suit us more/
- 我自己讀psychi嘅時候都有用其他書，而最後我喺考osce前個零禮拜買左另一半書......
- I was using other textbooks during my rotation as well, and particularly, I bought another book just more than a week before my OSCE and it turned out to be the most useful book...
